The Primo Viaggio 4-35 Nido offers a premium base with Load Leg and built-in Anti-Rebound Bar. The extendable Pagoda Hood offers near complete coverage, shielding baby from the elements.

Features

Pagoda Hood offers complete coverage with mesh side netting for ventilation and UPF 50+ fabric.
Base includes built-in Anti-Rebound Bar and 10 position metal load leg. These features work together to increase stability and significantly reduce the risk of injury in case of an accident.
Base is equipped with an innovative system which easily and securely locks the base in place for added stability with either LATCH strap or vehicle's seat belt.
EPS & EPP foams provide increased protection and comfort throughout the shell and headrest.
Adjustable Side Impact Protection easily adjusts to six different positions with no re-threading required.
The dual-stage insert system provides proper head support and a snug seating position for newborns.

I bought this on pre-order and it arrived before baby came. Initially, I was not the happiest— kind of questioned my purchase, honestly. Our son wasn’t born yet and I was expecting to wool to be, well, softer. I also noted that it WAS quite heavy compared to the Nuna I looked at in-store, after pre-ordering my PP Nido. I felt committed, because I had ordered, received, and opened the additional base. I tried to remind myself the reason I ordered.... SIX WEEKS of research, including joining consumer reports and looking into the manufacturing and openness on chemicals and FR’s.

Then baby came. And... I LOVE this seat. It feels safe. I don’t have to rethread the harness and love the adjustable side impact protection. I’d prefer the heavier seat, rather than wondering what was skimped on to make it lighter. The canopy is awesome! It covers my son to his feet when extended. I use it with a peg Perego booklet and I am SO pleased. It makes it sooo easy!

We have used this car seat for right at a year now and we LOVE IT! My son loves it also, which is a huge plus! We have a Ford Fusion and the car seat fits well (a little tight on the passenger but not terrible). We love that it can be hooked up without the base. When my husband takes him in his truck we don’t have to switch the base over every time, and we didn’t have to buy a new base just for running into town quick. Overall, recommend this car seat highly. The only flaw is that as a newborn my son did not fit well in the seat. It was an awkward fit as he was 7lbs5oz when born and the first stage insert was for 8lbs. He needed the insert because he had little neck support and was long/lean, but the fit was funky for a week or two until he filled out a bit.

This car seat is great with all its safety features. Especially as it grows through the infant stages. And the extra padding. I wish the zipper for the extra hood you could do from both sides. And it’s a little difficult to move the cross bar by having to click both sides but that’s pretty standard for most car seats. Overall best car seat and definitely underrated

We absolutely love this car seat, and our little does too! Instead of the traditional car seat that curls your body into a “C” shape, this seat gives our baby more of a relaxed back position. It cleans really easy. It had the low weight insert, which came in handy for our preemie. It looks stylish. But most importantly, it feels really safe with the bar and the anti rebound. It is really easy to install, and has an angle adjuster. If we take my husband's truck we use the European thread instead of a second base and it works really great. I wish more strollers had adapters for it, that is the only negative.

We researched seats and like the added safety features, I.e., the floor bar and larger bumper, that greatly reduce seat motion in the event of a front end crash. It looks very well built and it is stylish too. We also got the adapter to utilize this seat with our Bob Revolution Flex stroller.
