Prolly the best trike

Well made and intuitive for the kiddo. Only downside is the trike design is not steady for any kid of step or terrain.

We LOVE the Doona Trike! My boy got it for Christmas when he was 12 months old and could fit in it well (he's at the first percentile in height). Now in the spring, he LOVES it! We just went to the farmers market, and all the kids were pointing at it, saying they wanted one too!

My sons favorite trike
May 3, 2024
My son loves this trike. He gets so excited everytime he’s about to use it. I love how small and compact it is. I have been using this more than my main stroller now because i am pregnant. It is easier to carry in the trunk. I also appreciate the bag that can carry a few of my essentials. The only con is, it is a little hard to maneuver. Turning is a little difficult . Still love it though and cant wait to use it more this summer

Another Doona Win
December 28, 2023
We bought this for my third child, we LOVED the Doona car seat/stroller so I already had a good impression of the brand and my 18 month old is more mobile and ready for a stroller alternative on walks. We had a cheaper version of this trike for my older two and I like the overall design that teaches kids to pedal a bike. The Doona is a much more elevated version of the convertible trike as it can fold up for travel or storage! We don’t have a lot of outdoor storage so I love that I can put this in our deck box to protect it from heat/rain and also fits in our trunk to take to the park.
Pros
  • Compact, can fold up for storage or to fit in trunk
Cons
  • Flimsy canopy

Fun Trike
May 2, 2023
This is great push trike. I disagree with some reviews saying it is difficult to steer - did not have an issue with that. The only issue (and why 4 and not 5 stars) is that the straps are terrible. They’re hard to adjust and pads just fall down/are useless. It’s annoying but not a dealbreaker, and the trike is otherwise great.

Perfect for Toddlers, wonderful for parents
April 13, 2023
Absolutely love this thing. I bought it for my son as an Easter present and he loves it. He is 11 months old and we go on walks up and down the road and up and down our gravel driveway. Does really good in all types of terrains. Our driveway is thick gravel and I even pushed him into our uneven yard and we didn't get stuck one time.

Good but not Great
December 30, 2021
We got this for our son's first birthday. I knew friends who loved the Doona car seat, so figured this would be great as well. As the title says, good but not great. It's super easy to set up and is ready to go out of the box. It folds up small, but it took us a couple of youtube video view to get how to fold it down consistently. Once it is folded, it fits in our hall closet perfectly.

The biggest knock against it, is that the steering is really stiff with the parent bar. I can't speak to how it will move when he moves on to pedal himself. It seems that it will move a little easier. One other thing I was disappointed with, is that, for now, while our son is in ride mode there's no way to truly contain his feet. You can strap his feet into the pedals, but containing a toddler foot that doesn't want to is a struggle or their legs just have to hang there. . I've seen on the Smartrike that there is a place for feet/legs to rest while just riding and feel like that would be better.
Pros
  • Lightweight, no assembly, takes up very little space when folded up.
Best Uses
  • Ultimately, I would say if you're in a flat area, walking mostly straight it's a good choice.
Cons
  • Harder to steer than other convertible trikes out there

Great Trike that grows with baby
December 28, 2021
I got this for my 1 year old and he loves it. Lightweight, easy to fold/unfold, canopy provides great coverage and sun protection, and the belly bar makes me feel assured he is safe.
Customer Images
Pros
  • Very sturdy, well made. Love the storage bag and bonus cup holder. Very easy fold and unfold. Very compact. Could be a stroller replacement for a quick walk. Looks beautiful. Lightweight; my 3 year old loved pushing his brother around the neighborhood.
Cons
  • Steering bar feels a little stiff and hard to turn at times (probably can be fixed with a little grease) and the harness straps are pretty flimsy, lay awkwardly on my tall one year old; he will probably be able to wiggle them off soon.

My daughter actually had radio flyers bike. She always had hard time sitting on the bike because she slipped from the seat.
Donna has a such a nice seat with cushion and the peddles works well, and my daughter is around 30 months and she is already a good biker!

Mostly a hit
April 8, 2021
We bought this for Christmas for our 18 month old. We’ve been using it for several months for strolls around the neighborhood, and I would say it’s mostly been a hit! I love the straps for his feet as he hasn’t quite figured out the pedals yet, and I love the option of letting him try to pedal for practice or turning the pedal control off. It also folds relatively easily once you remove the handle, and it’s lightweight!

My only complaint is the straps/harness. They seem basically useless on our son, who is on the taller side. He can just shrug his shoulders and they fall off. He has a tendency to stand up on the pedals while we’re riding, so I wish the straps could prevent that, but I haven’t bothered to fasten them once I realized they don’t help us!

I love that it grows with the child as they get older, so the price is more justifiable, in my opinion! Hope to use it in the future!

Baby boy loves this!!
June 7, 2020
This is my 6-month baby boy's new favourite. It's been nice alternative to the stroller. He enjoys having his cereal in it when not in a mood for highchair. We haven't push him outside since he's not the recommended age yet. But definitely a new journey touring in the living room.
Pros
  • It folds easily. Very well made.
Cons
  • Haven't notice any yet.

Awesome. Great purchase.
October 9, 2019
My 1 year old LOVES this trike! We haven’t used our stroller in months because she loves riding in this so much. And it’s so portable and corners so well I’ve literally taken her to the mall in it and she’s thrilled to ride around waving at everyone. We took it to a music festival and rolled her around the park while we enjoyed the music. She’s too little to reach the pedals still, but we love that this trike A. has a footrest for younger children who can’t pedal yet, B. it has foot straps to help keep their feet in place, and C. It folds up SO SMALL! I do feel like the extra $50 might have been worth it for the carrying case. I have a new car and I hate having dirty trike tires in my brand new trunk. Also you have to remove the handle to fold it up which makes it two separate pieces to carry. Plus the cup holder if you choose to travel with that. Three separate items would make more sense in a carrying case. Considering it’s small size though we’ll probably just find an old duffel bag or something to carry it in. It might even fit in an old backpack. Another pro is this trike just looks nice. I bought my nephew a cheaper one a few years ago which he loves but this one is so much nicer. As it should be considering the price. It’s well worth it for how much my daughter loves it. And it’s so sleek and modern and gender neutral I know it will last us through multiple kids. I might add on some streamers or something to give it a girly touch at some point. Overall, if you want to try a tricycle for your kid to enjoy around your neighborhood then get a cheap one. If you want a tricycle you can take around the neighborhood, the grocery store, the airport, on a road trip to your in-laws, and all around your in-laws house, then this is absolutely what you want.

Slick trike
August 4, 2019
We got this for our 1 year old’s birthday. It’s ready to go right out of the box. Quality is great and easy to fold. Lightweight and compact. Our baby is average sized 12 month old but I still feel that he’s a bit less comfortable and secure in it compared to stroller for longer walk. So just wheel him around in the house for now but think we will get great use out of it once a bit older. The fact that we didn’t have to put it together and the slick fold is probably worth the extra cost.
