I'm both pleased and disappointed, it has a real fan noise, something I'd been hoping for. However - the hushh from this brand is far superior in volume for $20 less. I'm disappointed that I still have to ask my older child to be quiet during nap times or be quiet in the bathroom next to where my baby is sleeping. Definitely not loud enough to drown out noise.
